Winning and Victory!

As a former professional athlete and coach for many years, there's something special about winning. There's nothing quite like holding a trophy above your head as a sign of your accomplishment and victory. As with most sports, not everyone has a chance to be a winner. In most cases, for every winner there also has to be a loser. And let me tell you from personal experience, losing is a feeling that sits in the deep of your heart that doesn't want to leave. In sports, a person often doesn't have a choice when it comes to victory or failure, but in life everyone has the same opportunity to have victory, through Jesus Christ. He makes the playing field level in life. In 1 Corinthians 15:57 we read, "But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ." Today we all have an opportunity to experience His victory for our lives if we choose to accept Jesus and what He did for us. He died on the cross, taking all our sins upon Himself. Because of His actions we now have victory over sin and death. It's no longer about losing and failure in life, unless that's what we choose. But today will you choose to live in victory because of Jesus?
