What Was I Thinking?

Have you ever done something and then looking back on it, you ask yourself whether or not it was the wisest thing to do? As you can see from my picture, one time I went into an enclosed area with some tigers. Now these weren't full grown tigers, but believe me, they were plenty big enough. As I stepped into the enclosure, I saw a gate open about thirty yards away and these two tigers began running towards me. For a brief moment I was alone with two tigers. As they quickly made their way to me, one of their handlers appeared on scene. Praise God! I got to play with these tigers for about 30 minutes and can say I've done something not a lot of others have had the chance to do. It's funny how your thinking changes as you get older. There were risks and chances I took in years past that I don't think I'd take now, being older and wiser.  As you think about life, you truly can grow in wisdom, understanding and knowledge, but only if you're willing. I can learn from being taught or from experience, and as we know, learning from experience can sometimes be a lot harder. As a father and husband, I also know that eyes are watching what I do. If my children see me doing something, what it says to them is that it's fine for them to do also. In my life I want to do things that I can say follow me, especially when it comes to spiritual things. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11:1, "Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ." I want to live my life in such a way that I can say to others, follow me as I follow Christ.
