Who's Gonna Love Me?

Every now and then I come across a story that tugs on the heart and challenges you to the core. In this case it's the story of Ronny "Tony" Porta, an Iraqi war veteran whose body was horribly burned and transfigured in a roadside bomb. As he was telling his story he said something that really shook me. He said, "Who's gonna love me?" I will be honest, I got a little choked up. This man's physical scars are obvious, and there are people in culture like him. But there are also others who have scars that others can't see that are emotional. These people are also asking the same question Ronny "Tony" Porta asks, in who is going to love them? What every person must know is that the Lord loves them. Maybe you're one of these people who's asking this question. If you are, the Lord truly loves you and cares about you. And not only the Lord, but there are others who love you, regardless of what you look like or what you've been through. I'm inspired byRonny "Tony" Porta and his incredible courage. As Christians we must never forget 1 Corinthians 13:13, "For now there are faith, hope, and love. But of these three, the greatest is love." Will you love the unlovely?
