Loving Hugging

One of the most special things for me is cuddling with my kids, especially my youngest daughter Hannah :) There's something about them curling up in your arms and resting their head on you. Even though my kids are getting bigger every day, there's something about cuddling. It's not just special for them, as they rest in the arms of someone they trust and feel completely protected with, knowing how much they're loved. But I too love holding my kids, letting them know they are loved, protected and precious. More and more parents are becoming less touch and cuddly with their kids, yet a child needs to be held. Every dad can't forget that their daughter needs to be held, and if you're not the one holding her, she'll look for someone else to hold her. I think of all the verses in the Bible that tell of how much the Lord holds us in His arms when we need Him to and how it's there that we're comforted, protected and peaceful. Parents hug your children today, regardless of how big they are, because being held is a natural desire of children. Happy hugging...
