Rich and Wealthy

From time to time I come across people who are interested in following Jesus, but come to a place where they think they've done so many wrong things that even Jesus couldn't forgive them. But those who know Jesus are aware this isn't the case. Regardless of what someone has done or how much, Jesus forgives. How can we forget verses like Ephesians 2:4-7 which says, "But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus." Now take a moment to read through this again and allow its words to sink in. God is wealthy when it comes to mercy and regardless of what we've done, because of His love towards us He sent His only Son to give us forgiveness and freedom. It's beautiful! It's amazing!
