Back to Your Prison?

Ask me what I'm thankful for and many things come to mind. But one of the things that would be at the top of my list would be the freedom and liberty I've been given by Jesus Christ. I was tangled up and bound in a life of sin, and Jesus Christ freed me. Being bound up by sin is the complete opposite to being free. Galatians 5:1 tells us,"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." Why would I want to go back to the lifestyle I was once lived? Why be bound up in sin when I've been freed? I've seen documentaries on TV where an inmate was released from prison after serving his sentence, but immediately commits a crime because he can't wait to get back to prison and behind bars. It's very hard for me to understand this kind of thinking. I've never been in prison before, but I have been chained and bound by my sin. I hated it so much I never wanted to go back there again. And why would I? Christ paid an expensive price for me to be freed. Live in such a way that you're thankful for the price He paid  :)
