Keep Going!

Every Christian needs endurance for the marathon of faith we're running. The ability to keep going, regardless of the headwinds opposing us. Hebrews 10:35-36 encourages us by saying, "So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised." Throwing away your confidence in the Lord may seem like the easy thing to do at times, yet the consequences of doing this can be tragic. God gives us the strength to keep going if we ask Him, trust Him and follow Him. He gives us the ability not only to continue doing His will, but to thrive as we do it. Endurance is such a powerful thing. It's the Greek word "hupomone." It's "the capacity to bear up under difficult circumstances, not with a passive complacency, but with a hopeful fortitude that actively resists weariness and defeat." Hupomone is essential for every Christian if we're to receive all God's promised us. Ask Him for some today :)
